OBITUARY OF ARTHUR FOX OGDEN Died Januay 5, 1944
Arthur F. Ogden was born in Dover, Mason County, Kentucky, November 23, 1853. Departed this life January 5, 1944. This would make him 90 years old at his departure. He was united in marriage to Lorella Jane Trisler, now deceased. To this union ten children were born, as follows: James Clarence Ogden, now deceased, missionary to Tibet; Howard Ogden, of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Myrtle Arnold of Wilmore, Ky.; Mrs. Laura Ogden Dotson of Bald Hill, Ky.,Nannie Thomas Ogden, deceased; Mrs. Rella J. Miller of Carlisle, Ky.; A.F. Ogden, Jr., of Pittsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Fannie Baxter of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Grace Blount of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Max Ogden of Monticello.
Before his health failed him he made many friends here among all the people and especially among the members of the Church of Christ. He had been a member of the Church since early manhood, and all his life had been faithful to its services. He was one of those persons whose very appearance was that of virtue and goodness. We believe he was a Christian.
It appeared that his work n this earth was done and for many months he had just been waiting, waiting for his Master's call. His passing is only another example of the blessing that God has in store for those who love and serve Him. He takes them from this earth of pain and sorrow, into His sacred presence. Our convictions are best expressed by this statement of the Holy Spirit, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they shall rest from their labors."
